Patience to Ripen

Vancouver Island is a beautiful place to welcome an early spring. My recent travel to the Island afforded the reflection time to become aware of the daily progress the blooming daffodils, crocuses and cherry trees achieved.
So often in life and in business we are in a hurry. A hurry to achieve, produce and accomplish. Our patience with team members, employees, processes and our own career progression can be less than ideal.
Another awareness was offered at an Island grocery store. I realized I have perfect acceptance of buying a half-ripe banana. Slightly green, quite firm; not the ripe perfection I would immediately consume. Yet I am patient, I know the fruit will ripen in a day or two given the appropriate environment.
Patience is a core value. Be patient with your expectations.
